The performance of Lengeh Port and West Hormozgan Ports in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, shows a 137% increase in unloading and loading and a 279% increase in exports of oil and non-oil goods.
Regarding the performance of Lengeh port and ports of west of Hormozgan (except Kish) in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, Qasem Askari Nasab, Director of Ports and Maritime of West Hormozgan stated: The total unloading and loading of oil and non-oil goods in this period is more than 2 million and 381 thousand tons, which indicates a growth of 137 percent and gaining the fifth place among the country's ports.
He continued: the total unloading and loading amount of oil goods has reached to one million and 556 thousand tons with a growth of 193 percent, also the total unloading and loading of non-oil goods is reported to be more than 825 thousand tons with Growth of 75%.
Director of Ports and Maritime of West Hormozgan, referred to the unloading and loading of 101,020 TEU refrigerated containers in the first quarter of this year and said: We have recorded a 225% growth in this sector compared to the same period last year, in addition to a 45% growth in cabotage of Oil and non-oil goods.
